Invensys Rail Dimetronic has participated in the project of Metro Barcelona Line 9, the first Spanish driverless metropolitan line. Invensys Rail Dimetronic has supplied the line with the most advanced technological solution for electronic interlocking, its system Westrace.

Invensys Rail Dimetronic has also participated in the project with the supply of LED wayside signals, Electrical Point Machines MD2000, local controls and the system to supervise the maintenance of the Westcam.

The installation of the signalling technology in the Line 9 of Barcelona Metro has been developed by a Joint Venture integrated by Siemens and Invensys Rail Dimetronic. The Siemens CBTC system (Zone Control – ZC) is communicated with the Westrace electronic interlockings from Invensys Rail Dimetronic with a security protocol based in the one used by Westrace.
