Valencia Metro Lines 3 and 5
The security and transport capacity of lines 1, 3 and 5 of Metrovalencia has increased thanks to the implementation of the automatic train control system TBS 500. Metrovalencia will join the select worldwide group of metropolitan railways with automated driving systems.
Lines 3 and 5 of Valencia Metro, that are part of the Valencian Railways network, FGV, are provided with a continuous ATP system, designed and implemented by Invensys Rail Dimetronic. Also Electronic Interlocking WESTRACE and trackside equipment (signals, point machines and jointless track circuits) have been designed and implemented by Invensys Rail Dimetronic together with the ATP system.
The Operational Control Centre, OCC, of Valencia Metro is an Integrated and Centralised Centre that comprises Traffic Control, SCADA for Power Control and Building Management, CCTV, Passenger Information, Public Address and Communications and has also been implemented by Invensys Rail Dimetronic.
