Signalling Line 2 Manila Metro
In 2004, Invensys Rail Dimetronic delivered the Signalling and Automatic Train Control (ATC) systems for the Manila LRTA Line 2 project.
This 11 Km section running from Santolan to Legarda stations is the enhancement of the Phase 1 stage, commissioned in April 2003. The final Legarda-Recto interstation awaits the finish up of track works for commissioning.
Invensys Rail Dimetronic’s scope of supply included Westrace-type electronic Interlocking and Local Control Panels, including sub-systems for Diagnosis and Maintenance. The Westrace interlocking controls all trains in the line through the relevant track equipment: Jointless Track Circuits, electrical Point Machines and wayside signals at the Depot.
The ATC includes the Automatic Train Protection (ATP), Automatic Train Operation (ATO) and Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) sub-systems. The ATS is installed at the Operational Control Centre (OCC), located at Santolan’s depot, where the Passenger Information System supplied by Invensys Rail Dimetronic is also commanded, along with the Telecommunications and SCADA systems.
