Following the successful implementation of the ETCS on-board equipment supply for four S-252 locos and one ‘Alaris’ EMU under the Albacete-Villar de Chinchilla pilot line contract, the infrastructure administrator ADIF has awarded DIMETRONIC S.A. with the “Design and execution of on-board ETCS system for Alaris-type trains”.

The contract includes 9 on-board FUTUR 3000 – the train carried ETCS solution of DIMETRONIC S.A. to be installed in the S-490 type tilting trains of the operating company RENFE. Installation, testing and commissioning of 9 European Vital Computer equipment add to 18 STM of the EBICAB 900 TBS type, providing Corredor Mediterráneo’s ATP functionality. With this Dimetronic equipment, all 10 Alaris trains will be able to run safely in lines equipped with either ERTMS, EBICAB 900 TBS or ASFA.
